Strengthening a muscle could be done with simple static
flexing of the muscles without moving the body, try 10 to 20 static flexing of
certain muscle groups with breath in and out and feel the increase in blood circulation
and decrease in pain symptoms.
It could be as simple as that.

The
importance of breath awareness in stress relief and muscle tension could be
very helpful. It’s always a great
practice to connect with your breath throughout the day. If one finds holding
his or her breath for too long, simply turn your attention to breath and
imagine relaxation of the body, scan your muscle tension with you mind as you
breath in and out!
Another way to practice deep relaxation breathing is before going to bed simply scan your muscles with you mind from head to toe as you breath deep in you belly and feeling your rib cage is expending and relaxing.

Slouching
postures could contribute to pain in upper shoulder muscles due to shoulder
muscles constantly trying to balance protruding head on top of the spine.
Focusing on squeezing shoulder blades backwards and down can help straighten out thorax and balance the head on top of the spine in more neutral position reducing head forward posture and reducing unnecessary stress put on the shoulder muscles by the slouching posture and protruding head.

Strengthening a muscle tissue can help stabilize joints in
the body, make them stronger which can help enduring daily physical tasks such
as sitting, standing walking, lifting etc.
Strengthening a muscle tissue keeps muscles awake and active, muscle strengthening pumps fresh blood in and out, increasing nutrient exchange in the tissue keeping it strong, healthy and vibrant.

If your body experiences pain in certain movements try to move around it and challenge that painful movement again, don’t force the painful movement to cause more damage, but simply work around it and gently challenge it and notice the improvement in the range of painful motion and believe that pain is going away.

To help
people understand their body movements, I simply encourage patients to connect
with their own natural movements.
If you can
imagine that your body can bend forward, backwards, side to side, rotate, twist
and move in a circular fashion you can essentially complete a full body work
out or a stretch, by moving your own body weight. You can move you head your spine, arms,
shoulder blades, elbows, wrists, fingers, legs, knees, ankles and toes in any
direction you body permits.
Just remember that your body has the wisdom of natural movement and that movement helps your blood circulation which promotes nutrition to joints, muscles and organs.

Holding the same posture for too long can cause muscle tension. A great way to loosen up muscle tension is to simply start shaking the entire body and imagine relaxation of the muscles. In other words, if one feels tension in the body, simply start moving the body parts in a fluid motion.
